About Us

Our Beliefs

Our Vision
Our greatest desire is to be a community of God's people who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly. We are committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the inspiration and authority of the Scriptures, and the work of the Holy Spirit in conveying God's truth and grace to all people.

Our Mission
Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ and spread scriptural holiness across the globe. Our worship, study, serving, and sharing programs are all designed to be part of the disciple-making process.

Our Strategy
To make disciples of Jesus Christ, we have five main goals. We constantly strive to...
1. Proclaim the gospel, seek, invite, welcome, and gather persons into the body of Christ.
2. Help people grow unto Christ-likeness by providing opportunities for study, encouragement, and fellowship.
3. Help people discover their spiritual gifts and take their place in service and ministry within the church.
4. Equip people to share their faith and provide opportunities to engage in mission and service to the community and world.
5. Make prayer and worship the center and heart of all we do.

Our Values
Several years ago, we conducted a congregational survey asking people what they valued most about Sapulpa Methodist. The responses centered around five core values.
1. Membership care and support
2. Mission to our community and beyond
3. Worship and prayer ministries
4. Spiritual formation and growth
5. Fellowship and a welcoming spirit
We continue to find that these are the things that our members treasure most.

Our Commitments
When one unites with us in professing membership, they affirm that they will be faithful to the church and support it through their..
1. Prayers
2. Presence
3. Gifts
4. Service, and
5. Witness
The congregation also pledges to encourage, care for, and support our new members in their journey unto Christ-likeness.

Our Rules
Historically, Methodists have been guided by three simple rules. As people long to live the love of Jesus, we strive to...
1. Do no harm
2. Do good
3. Stay in love with God through worship, Bible study, the Lord’s Supper, prayer, and fasting.
